A truly fabulous, vibrant antique paste buckle in dating from the era of the Suffragette Movement. Set with beautiful pink, green and clear pastes - this combination of colours was often used in jewellery to show support by the wearer for the movement and symbolised Green for hope, White for Purity and Violet/ pink for Loyalty or Give Women Votes. This is a large piece, unusual because all the pastes are still present and in good condition.
