A truly fabulous Edwardian compact, circular in form and beautifully tactile - a rare survivor complete with its original mirror, powder puff, and fitted box. Crafted in 9ct gold and hallmarked for Birmingham 1908, this piece is both elegant and practical, with a timeless simplicity that makes it endlessly wearable.

The front is adorned with an ornate foliate design and a heart-shaped cartouche left charmingly blank - perfect for a future engraving or simply admired as-is. The foliate pattern continues on the reverse, where you'll find the full hallmark and the sponsor’s mark for S Bros.

This compact opens to reveal a mirror inside the lid and a removable powder puff, making it ideal for conversion - wear it as a locket, a statement pendant, or layered in a neck stack. It suspends from a gold ring and feels satisfyingly weighty in the hand.

Mirror: The lid that holds the mirror sits up nicely when open and the mirror itself feels quite delicate. It doesn’t appear to add a huge amount of weight to the piece.
