A wonderful Victorian double door jewellery box crafted in luxurious purple velvet and silk. The box has a central section of cushions that will hold at least fifteen rings. There are velvet compartments on the top and bottom of the box for larger pieces of jewellery. This is a fabulous and unusual antique box with the sought after double door design.

The jewellery cushions and compartments are crafted in violet cotton velvet. The inside of the box’s doors are lined with the box’s original, luxurious deep purple coloured silk.

The outside of the box is covered with dark brown leather with a decorative gold outline on the lid and around the edge if the inside. The box is domed and chamfered around the edge of the lid. It closes with its original flip over clasps.

The external measurements of the box are approximately 21cm x 14.5cm and 4.5cm high at its tallest point. It has a span of 31cm when the doors are fully open.
