A wonderful antique jewellery box crafted in green velvet and Liberty of London tana lawn. This box has space for a maximum of twenty four rings or pairs of earrings in cushions down the middle of the box. On either side of the cushions there are compartments for other pieces of jewellery such as chains and pendants. This beautiful box is the perfect place to display and store your collection of jewellery. It would also be an excellent travel box. It has a wonderfully tactile design, rather like an evening bag.

The inside of the lid of this beautiful box is crafted in Liberty of London tana lawn (cotton) Kings Rd design in green, burgundy, yellow and cream which is part of their Retold Collection. The box closes with its original flip over, pressed stud clasps with black enamel and gold laurel wreath centres. The box is covered with green faux leather. It has a gold metal edge around the lid and around the inside edge of the box. The lid lays flat when the box is open. The box dates from the early part of the 20th century.

The external measurements of the box at its widest points are approximately 27cm X 13.5cm X 4cm tall. This is an antique box that has been repurposed as a jewellery box.
