A wonderful 29” slinky box link chain crafted in 9ct gold with a dog clip. The chain is lovely and heavy - it is very tactile with excellent weight and movement. It has a snake-like feel. The chain looks lovely worn on its own or as part of a neck stack. It is perfect for that longer look perhaps with a statement pendant or orb.

The chain measures approximately 29 inches/74cm long and weighs 19.7g. It is crafted in 9ct rich yellow gold. It is a lovely strong colour that could easily be mistaken for 18ct gold. The chain dates from the 1930’s. It was previously part of a long guard chain that has been split into two - this is the second of two chains from that long guard.

The box links measure approximately 2.9mm x 2.1mm x 2.5mm. The dog clip measures approximately 21hmm across and is also crafted in 9ct gold. It is stamped ‘9 375’ for 9ct gold.

This is an antique chain and as such shows some signs of wear as one would expect with a chain of its age. Please look at the photographs as they form part of the description. The chain is on the far left in the picture of five chains. The other pieces of jewellery are not included.
