A wonderful antique ring box crafted in rich purple velvet with a Liberty of London silk lined lid. This box is an excellent display box to showcase and store your ring collection. The box holds at least thirty rings in cushions divided into three sections across the width of the box.

The inside of the lid of this beautiful box is crafted in Liberty of London silk with their iconic Strawberry Thief design in vibrant turquoise. Strawberry Thief is a William Morris design that was first produced in 1883.

The box closes with its original, flip over brass clasps. It is covered with brown faux crocodile leather with a beautiful gold decorative edge. The lid lies flat when the box is open. The box dates from the early part of the 20th century.

The external measurements of the box at its widest points are approximately 27.5cm X 9cm X 3.5cm tall. This is an antique box that has been repurposed box as a jewellery box.
