A wonderful small Georgian mourning brooch that has been converted into a pendant for modern day use. This beautiful chased piece is crafted in 9ct gold. It has a curved back with a bevelled glass front that is holding a lock of plaited blond hair in place. The name ‘Ellen’ in engraved on the back.

The brooch has had its pin removed and a 9ct bail and jump ring have been added. Some of the photos show the piece as a brooch before it was converted into a pendant. There is a hole on the reverse where the pin has been removed.

This piece does not open; the hair cannot easily be removed.
