A truly wonderful Georgian diamond paste Hally’s comet brooch & pendant set silver and gold. This is a wonderful celestial piece with sparkly paste stones set in pie crust settings. It is a real piece of history that displays amazing craftsmanship and is in excellent condition for its age. One for the collectors!

The brooch could be worn as a pendant on a chain using the small ring that is attached at one end of the comet.

All of the paste stones are present. They are bright and sparkly and in good antique condition. The central paste stone measures 6.6mm across and the pastes in the halo measure between 3mm and 4mm across.

The comet measures 27mm from end to end and weighs 2.6g. The paste stones are set in silver. The back of the piece and its pin are crafted in 8ct gold. The brooch has been XRF tested to confirm this.
