A wonderful antique silver sovereign case in excellent antique condition. This is a real statement piece, designed so that sovereigns could be safely and stylishly transported. This sovereign case looks fabulous worn on a long chain on its own or as part of a neck stack.

This is a beautiful, elegant piece with a blank back and front. The sovereign case measures 46mm from top to bottom and 31mm across. It weighs 20g. It is hallmarked for silver, Birmingham, 1912 inside the lid. it is stamped the lion passant and the maker’s mark of ‘A.L.D.’. It is also has the anchor for Birmingham and the 1912 date letter on the push button at the top of the case. The sovereign case closes securely with a satisfying click.

The case has a few minor scratches as one would expect from a piece of its age. Please look closely at the photographs as they form part of this description.
