At the heart of the locket lies a raised oval disc bordered by a delicate snake chain edge, framing a magnificent North Star. The star is adorned with a central diamond measuring approximately 5mm across in an open-back setting, surrounded by ten smaller diamonds—one in each ray, with two additional stones in the elongated top and bottom rays. The sparkle and character of these antique diamonds are simply enchanting.

Encircling the central motif is a cut-out square design, embraced by ornate raised gold swirls and a halo of gold beads around the outer edge—an intricate and harmonious composition that speaks to the artistry of the Victorian era.
